Anna is a nationally board certified music therapist in private practice. She holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University, West Chester, PA, a Master of Arts in Humanities and a certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling from Penn State University, State College, PA, and a certificate in the Mental Health Training Program for School Personnel from the Central Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, Penn State College of Medicine, Milton Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. She completed her internship in Psychotherapeutic Music Therapy at The Institute for Children and Families, West Chester, PA, and has completed her second Master of Arts degree in Music Therapy at Immaculata College, Immaculata, PA. Anna is named in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2002, and she is also an accomplished musical play and popular song composer.

After retiring from her 17 year position as music educator and choral director in the Pennsylvania public school system, Anna has been the primary music therapist for special education schools, facilitating classes for mentally handicapped children, as well as the therapeutic facilitator for social skills groups for at-risk teens in a psychiatric setting. She services clients individually and in groups, specializing in developing unique treatments for emotional, behavioral, developmental and cognitive concerns secondary to schizophrenia, bi-polar, anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD, autism, rett syndrome, developmental disabilities, post traumatic stress disorder and attachment disorder. Medically, Anna has specialized in the treatment of Alzheimer’s patients, stroke victims and brain-injured patients, in a rehabilitation hospital setting, centering on the enhancement of socialization skills, memory skills, alleviating depression and isolation, and speech issues.

As the adoptive parent of 2 children and the foster parent of over 18 children in the past 7 years, Anna is very knowledgeable of special needs clients and various medical conditions. Anna is an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College in St Petersburg, Florida.

Angela M. Guerriero, M.Ed., MA, MT-BC

Angela is a clinical music therapist currently treating children with autism and developmental delays. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in music education and Master of Education degree in special education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has earned her Master of Arts degree in music therapy and her Certificate in Expressive Arts at Immaculata University.

Angela holds teaching certificates in music education and special education in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a board certified music therapist. She is a member of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). She has attained her level one Orff certification, and in 2002 completed her level one course work in sensory integration which is a current focus of her research. Angela uses the DIR™ approach to treatment and is currently in the DIR™ certificate program.

Angela's experience involves working with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental delays, autism, speech and language disorders, motor planning problems, and mental illness. Angela taught as an adjunct professor at West Chester University for two years, teaching Inclusion in Music Education.

Suzanne B. Graves, MA, MT-BC
Music Therapist, PA

Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sterling College, Sterling, Kansas, where she majored in Music Education, minored in Psychology, and was named in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Music Therapy from Immaculata University, Immaculata, PA.

Since 1991, Suzanne has been the Director of the “Joybells”, a therapeutic performing handbell choir of twelve adults with Down syndrome, at Melmark, Inc., in Berwyn, PA. She is the creator and director of the “Enrichment Chime Choir” for children and adults with various mental and physical challenges including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, and stroke. In addition to directing both bell choirs, Suzanne provides group and one-on-one music therapy sessions for individuals at Melmark.

Suzanne has had a wide range of experiences involving both music and special needs issues. These have included 14 years studying piano, performing in musical theater, traveling nationally with a musical ensemble, teaching piano, voice, and guitar, conducting workshops and seminars on “Creative Approaches to Directing Handbells with Special Populations”, and involvement in various church music ministries.

Suzanne and her husband, Steve, have three grown children, two daughters and a son. Their oldest daughter sustained a brain injury as an infant, causing cerebral palsy and learning disabilities. Combining her compassion as the parent of a child with special needs and her passion for music therapy, Suzanne seeks to enhance the quality of life of every individual for whom life is a challenge. At Tempo! PA, Suzanne teaches adapted lessons and Music Together, conducts music therapy sessions, and directs the Teens' Handchime Choir.

Patricia Winter, MM, MT-BC

Patricia Winter is a board certified music therapist who received her Bachelor of Science degree in music therapy from Elizabethtown College, and her Masters of Music Therapy degree from Temple University. Patricia has had experience working with children from pre-school to adolescents with autistic spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, psychiatric diagnosis, and physical disabilities. Patricia has also provided music therapy services for adult psychiatric, and geriatric clients. Patricia is a volunteer for the Delaware Valley Alzheimer's association, and a presenter for the Teacher Training Institute for the Arts. Patricia has taken Guided Imagery (GIM) level one training and continues to pursue training in this therapeutic domain.

Brielle Lipton

Brielle Lipton is a junior at West Chester University majoring in special education and elementary education. She has been volunteering at Tempo! since spring 2004 with groups and the handbell choir. She also works with children with autism as a one to one aide. Brielle has been attuned in level one Reiki. She is the vice president of CEC at West Chester University. Brielle is a member of the track team at WCU and her favorite hobbies are running, soccer, and creating and playing music.

Danielle Platt, BM, MT-BC

Danielle Platt is a board certified music therapist. She received her Bachelor of Music from Immaculata University and graduated magna cum laude. Danielle completed her internship at the Child Career and Development Center in Coatesville PA where she worked with children and adolescents with multiple disabilities. She also helped lead a bell choir and a chorus. After graduation, Danielle went on to be the assistant director of recreation and the dementia program coordinator for Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She met the recreational and musical needs of sixty residents with Alzheimers and Dementia and provided them with music groups and music therapy on a daily basis. Danielle is a concert flutist and a member of the Pennsylvania Flute Choir. She also teaches private flute and piano lessons.

Elizabeth C. Kohler, MT-BC
Music Therapist, PA

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science degree in music therapy from Elizabethtown College. Following graduation, she completed a six month internship at Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdorf, PA. There, she co-lead the bell choir and assisted with “A&O Kids”, a puppet ministry group which performed for several congregations in the area. She also created a sibling group for residents who had siblings both on and off campus.

Elizabeth worked as an itinerate therapist in York, Lancaster and Dauphin counties where had the opportunity to work with children and adults with various mental and physical challenges including autism, Down syndrome, Goldenhar syndrome, cerebral palsy and Traumatic Brain Injury. She has also had experience facilitating music assisted relaxation. In terms of continuing education, Elizabeth has attended several seminars on Sensory Integration and Autism. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in music therapy from Immaculata University.

Tori Conicello-Emery, MA, MT-BC

Tori is a board certified music therapist. She received her Bachelor's of Arts in Communications with a concentration in theatre with minors in Music and Spanish from Eastern University and her Master of Arts in music therapy from Immaculata University. She has experience treating adults with mental illnesses, addictions and psychosocial challenges, children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and various developmental delays, and hospitalized pediatrics. She currently works at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on various inpatient units where she works with a broad spectrum of diagnosis with age groups ranging from infancy to young adulthood. At Tempo, Tori sees clients on an individual basis and facilitates music therapy groups for children with special needs.

Tori's passion and expertise is working with the voice. She has been classically trained, performed in bands, has an extensive musical theatre background, and still loves to sing at church. She treats the voice as another musical instrument and believes in the direct connection the body and psyche have to the vocal instrument and continues to explore this with her clients through song and improvisation. She offes therapeutic voice lessons at Tempo!

Tori also has researched the impact of mothers' voices and singing on infant development, and has presented on infant-directed singing to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHOP. Her interest on this topic was sparked in her training to become a Music Together teacher at Tempo!
