Creative Arts Therapy Camp - TBA Summer 2008
Tempo! Music Therapy Services will be hosting two creative arts therapy camps (CAT Camps) this summer in West Chester.
In addition to music therapy, children will also experience art therapy and dance/movement therapy each day. We will have a special class each day including yoga, drumming, playing handchimes, and playing the harp. Children will have the opportunity to play the musical instruments not always available during regular music therapy sessions throughout the school year. Special guests will be invited into work with the children as well. Goals include socialization and exploration of self through the creative arts.
All children new to our program will need to have a screening to be placed in an appropriate group. Children currently enrolled in any of our programs do not need a screening. Groupings will consist of 4-6 children based on needs, abilities, and age. Our groups are inclusive so children with disabilities, typically developing children, and siblings are welcome to join in these camp groups as well.
